One of the prettiest of Rowans, but also the one most susceptible to fire blight.

One of the prettiest of rowans it is both a winner of the First Class Certificate in 1962 and the Award of Merit in 1950.

However, it is also the one most susceptible to fire blight which can disfigure the tree to the point of complete demise.

Small narrow green leaflets turn a fantastic red in the autumn and provide a stunning contrast to the creamy yellow berries.

A small tree with ascending branches, ideal for gardens.

It derives from the Chinese species, has red leaf buds and a dainty overall effect.

It is ideal for small gardens and tolerant of most soils.

Mature height: 5-10m
