The Pussy Willow has been loved by generations of children, and is often associated with Easter.

Sometimes referred to as Goat Willow, it is a tough prospect for industrial areas that need rapid greening.

One of our native Willows, this makes a small, rounded tree and is often found by rivers and streams, as it thrives in damp soil.

It is particularly noted for its silver-white, furry catkins, which open to yellow in spring.
