The Chestnut-leaved Oak was introduced from the Caucasus and Iran in the mid 1840s.

The Chestnut-leaved Oak was introduced from the Caucasus and Iran in the mid 1840s but is rarely seen in the UK.

A must for any plant collector who has the space to plant one.

Similar to Quercus cerris in appearance, this medium to large, oval shaped tree has oblong leaves, tapered at both ends.

It is a magnificent tree for parks, arboretums and woodlands where there is space for its superb crown to mature.
