An outstanding columnar cultivar.

A cross between Prunus sargentii and Prunus yedoensis raised in the late 1920s.

The original tree now stands at 10 metres high and its autumn colour can be a joy to behold.

It has had many accolades over the years and won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.

This ranks as one of the finest of small street trees, and it is also excellent in gardens and parks.

With its tight, upright habit and profusion of pink flowers, it is ideal for most sites where space is limited.
