This relatively new introduction was bred at the Arboretum Kalmthout, Belgium, in the late 1980s for urban use.
Many state it is extremely columnar but we reckon broadly oval would be more appropriate a description.
Its young coppery foliage turns green in summer and golden yellow in autumn and its large, white, single flowers are edged with pink.
This durable tree is very good for parks and street plantings and thrives best on free draining soils.
Mature height: 10-15m
