The Autumn Cherry brings cheer at the darkest time of year.

Introduced in 1894 it won the Award of Merit in 1930 and remains a favourite for planting in the UK.

Often top grafted on the continent, we strongly recommend base grafted trees for structural longevity.

This small, rounded tree produces its semi-double, white flowers intermittently from November through to March – a welcome sight on a bleak, winter’s day.

Autumn foliage is orange-yellow.

A lovely tree for streets, parks and gardens that thrives best on well drained soils.

Mature height: 5-10m
