Considered by many as the best flowering cherry on the market, it is hard to disagree with them.
A superb garden tree, it also thrives within an urban environment.
A rather spreading tree with a rounded crown, Shirofugen remains small.
Its large, double, white flowers finish pink, contrasting well with the young, copper coloured foliage.
Excellent for verges, parks and gardens it is a wonderful sight when in full flow.
It thrives best on free draining soils. Its floral display is incredibly long lasting.
Mature height: 5-10m
