This Flowering Cherry is rather like a purple-leaved of Kanzan.

This Flowering Cherry is rather like a purple-leaved equivalent of the well known Prunus Kanzan.

Fairly new to our range, it gives wonderful contrast to a garden with its spectacular foliage and flower display.

Historically Prunus cerasifera Nigra is thought of as the choice for purple leaf interest but this clone provides real competition.

A small tree with ascending branches, it forms an oval to rounded crown at maturity.

Its double, shell pink flowers are set against beautiful, wine-red foliage to create an eye-catching effect.

Lovely in parks and gardens but like most cherries it prefers a free draining soil.

Mature height: 5-10m
