Portugal Laurel is widely used for hedging, but also makes a fine, specimen tree if required.

It is prettier than common laurel with red stems and narrower leaves but it is just as durable.

White flowers in the spring are an added bonus. We offer them as half-standards.

Grown as a tree, it remains small and has a good rounded habit, and it does well on most soils, including shallow chalk.

Very attractive as a hedge, giving year-round interest and cover to many small birds.

Ideal for gardens and parks.

Mature height: 5-10m
