This Cherry Laurel has been in cultivation since the 1860s.
Cherry laurel was introduced from its native Eastern Europe in 1576 and is now naturalised over much of the UK.
It relies on the trace element magnesium so if your hedge is yellowing you now know what to apply!
It does not thrive on shallow chalky soils. A particularly bushy, rounded form, this cultivar is ideal for hedging and screening.
It is a very versatile plant as it can be savagely pruned back to bare wood and still only takes a few months to regain its screening use.
