Introduced in the early 1800s we grow this laurel as a semi mature tree with a clear stem of 1.8-2m, ideal for stilted screening.

There are few evergreen trees tolerant of being in shadow, but this cultivar will thrive in either sun or shade.
It has ascending branches and small leaves resembling those of Prunus lusitanica or Zabeliana.
It produces white flowers in the spring and reacts well to pruning if required.
