Prunus Laurocerasus 'Latifolia' (Laurel)

Species:Prunus Laurocerasus Latifolia
Common Name(s):Laurel
Genus:Prunus
Shape:Rounded
Mature Size:Small (under 10m)
Tree Type:Evergreen Broad Leaf
Tree uses:Small Gardens,Raised Screening Trees,Garden,Restricted Spaces,Screening Trees

A tree form of laurel, grown as a standard.

A tree form of laurel, grown as a standard.

White flowers in the spring and year round evergreen leaves marks this clone as very useful for those requiring privacy.

Hedging laurel often takes as much horizontal space as vertical space in a garden, and with small areas this can be problematic.

This clone of laurel has thinner leaves than that of Prunus Rotundifolia and also runs up as a standard plant so the screening is effective beyond the fence line without encroaching into valuable garden space at ground level.

Mature height: 5-7m
