A late April and early May blossoming Japanese Cherry

This late April and early May blossoming Japanese Cherry is also known as Prunus serrulata Erecta Miyoshi.

A well used and recognised variety, it won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.

Perfect as a street tree or garden tree where space is at a premium, this tightly columnar cultivar is often grown as a feathered tree to maximise the number of semi-double, shell pink flowers it produces.

The young leaves are a copper-bronze.

Tolerant of most free draining soils.

Mature height: 5-10m
