This cultivar of White Poplar was raised in Holland in the 1950s.

This cultivar of White Poplar was raised in Holland in the 1950s for urban use.

It is a particularly useful choice for coastal settings where the sea breezes constantly flicker the silver white leaves to provide splendid contrast.

It is notable for its columnar and slender habit when young but it still makes a formidable tree when mature so care should be taken to give it enough space to colonise.

It thrives on most soils and is quick to grow.
