Crunchy and sweet is the main criteria for my two and Golden Delicious fits the bill.
Grown at Barcham on M16 semi dwarfing rootstock and as a full standard, my old Writtle fruit lecturer would not be amused to hear we were growing this clone!
The abundant autumnal fruit is best eaten straight off the tree as it doesn’t store too well.
Mature height: 5-7m
