A lovely small tree that tolerates alkaline soils.

A lovely small deciduous tree that tolerates alkaline soils.

One of the so called ‘Little Girl Hybrids’ developed between 1955 and 1956 at the US National Arboretum, it is renowned for its profuse floral display.

Abundant deep pink-purple flowers are produced in April-June and its erect habit makes this clone a lovely addition for a small garden.

We grow this variety as a tree rather than as a bush and although growth is slow the flowers never fail to disappoint.

Mature height: 3-7m
