This very pretty shrub Magnolia produces a mass of flowers in April that are made up with numerous dainty white petals. Ideal for small gardens and borders, this glorious Japanese clone won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.

The fragrant flowers appear from their velvety cases ahead of the leaf which turn a pleasing yellow in autumn. It thrives on most free draining soils but avoid planting on very alkaline soils.
