A very pretty cultivar that is known to flower three times in a single year in its native China.
We grow this on a single stem to be raised as a standard specimen tree and its last flowering can be as late as the autumn.
The flower is beautifully upright, tulip shaped, and nicely fragrant.
The outside of the flower is flushed pink, particularly at the base of the cup.
Like all magnolias, give a newly planted tree no competition from other plants for the first couple of years to quicken establishment.
Mature height: 5-10m
