Liriodendron Tulipifera (Tulip Tree) 'Fastigiatum'

Species:Liriodendron Tulipifera Fastigiata
Common Name(s):Fastigiatum,Tulip Tree
Tree Features:Low Fruit Fall,Yellow Flower,Good for Bees
Genus:Liriodendron
Growth Rate:Fast Growing
Shape:Narrow
Mature Size:Medium (10-15m)
Tree Type:Deciduous Broad Leaf

The perfect Tulip Tree for situations where space is at a premium.

This very upright form tends to flower earlier than its parent and we regularly see a decent floral display on 12-14cm girth crop.

Like fastigiate hornbeam it can be prone to a bit of middle aged spread so allow for a bit more room around it at planting than you think.

Its stiffly ascending branches are very effective if kept as a feathered tree, eventually competing with the leader to become a fat tear drop shape at maturity.

It is good as a specimen or as an avenue tree and thrives in most fertile soils.

Mature height: 10-15m
