An American selection of the Red Ash or, as it is also known, the Green Ash!
An American selection of the Red Ash or, confusingly as it is also known, the Green Ash.
Introduced from trials in Minnesota in 1957, there is some debate as to whether it is male or female but from what I have heard seed is not produced on mature trees.
The uniformity of this fast growing, medium to large tree, with ascending branches which form a broadly conical, well balanced crown, make it a superb choice for avenue plantings.
Its green glossy leaves turn a beautiful golden yellow in autumn.
It thrives in most environments making it a very versatile and tough urban tree.
Mature height: 15-20m
