Fraxinus Ornus (Flowering Ash) 'Obelisk'

As its name suggests, this Flowering Ash has a narrow, columnar habit, ideal for restricted urban areas and smaller sized gardens.

I have seen this planted along a small street in London and they have gone down a treat and been warmly welcomed by the residents.

An excellent choice for streets and avenues, this medium cultivar stands up well to paving and soil compaction.

It retains its tight, columnar habit well and produces an abundance of flowers in spring.

It thrives best on drier, calcareous and sandy, loamy soils.
