Fraxinus ornus varieties represent a far better bet that Fraxinus Raywood in that they are stronger in structure and Louisa Lady even matches the autumn colour display.
A medium to large cultivar which has a uniformly broad pyramidal crown when mature that produces a mass of fragrant, creamy white flowers in spring.
It thrives best on drier, calcareous and sandy, loamy soils.
