The One-leaved Ash is a fast-growing tree which has been in cultivation since the late 1780s.

It is not easily recognisable as an Ash when it is in leaf but look out for the tell tale black buds on dormant shoots to identify it.

Ideal for verge plantings, even by the busiest roads.

I have seen this tree smothered with the soot of urban car pollution and it was still thriving!

This large ash of pyramidal form is surely one of the most amenable of all trees – a real tough customer.
