One of the best examples of a mature specimen can be seen in the Bath Botanic Garden, fairly close to the Malus trilobata!
The leaves are beautifully white margined and the variety, like its parent plant, is free fruiting.
It prefers a sheltered spot and is best kept away from intense direct sunlight where it can scorch so a dappled shade would be perfect.
It is so striking it is always the first tree you notice in a collection.
Mature height: 3-5m
