Perhaps the most reliable of all the flowering dogwoods.
This small, open tree flowers in June, the white bracts turning fromwhite to pink and lining the upper sides of the most horizontal, slender branches.
It goes on to give pink, arbutus-like berries and rich bronze and crimson autumn leaves.
It prefers acidic soils.
