This beautiful small tree is not fully hardy so we only recommend it for sheltered, south facing, London Courtyards.

This beautiful small tree is a native of Australia and Tasmania but is only suitable for sites where it rarely dips below -2 Celsius.

Sheltered London piazzas and sun trapped urban gardens are prime locations to enjoy the superb flowering display this small tree offers.

Although mostly available as a shrub, we grow this as a full standard tree.

The intense red flowers are produced by mid summer are abundant as well as absolutely stunning.

The evergreen crown of fine green leaves benefits from a tidying prune every spring to keep the crown compact and to stimulate vigour and flower.

Suited to most soils, though best to avoid shallow chalk.
