Some call this clone ‘Laciniata’ or ‘Crispa’ but don’t worry about it as the differences are too slight to cause a dilemma.
It was found in Sweden in the 1760s, is a medium to large tree of slender form, with a broadly columnar habit.
The leaves are deeply cut and branches weep gracefully.
Bark is white and peeling.
Very good for parks and woodland, but not suitable for areas where soil becomes compacted or where there is too much reflected heat and light.
It grows well on most soils.
Mature height: 15-20m
