A medium tree with a dense, oval habit, its masses of flowers open pink and turn white, and it also gives very good autumn colour. The young leaves turn from coppery red to green. A very good choice for street plantings and residential areas as it provides plenty of interest with virtually no maintenance.

It does best in moist, well drained, lime free soils.
