Yellow Buckeye is a native of Georgia and Tennessee in the USA.
Also known as Sweet Buckeye, this medium to large tree has creamy yellow flowers marked with red - the nearest to yellow in a horse chestnut. In its native south eastern United States it grows on river banks and mountain sides, and it was once widely used to produce paper pulp. In Britain, it is a good choice for parks and open spaces. Good for autumn colour.
It thrives in all soils and tolerates air pollution.
Mature height: 15-20m
