Acer buergerianum (Trident Maple) The Oval shaped crown continues to develop as the tree matures
It forms an oval to rounded crown at maturity and is well suited to streets or gardens.
New spring foliage emerges a rich bronze colour before hardening to a glossy dark green by summer.
Greenish yellow flowers are borne in March and maturing trunks flake to brown / orange colours to provide a patchwork of winter interest.
Autumn colours can be variable but seldom disappointing with leaves turning yellow through to red before falling.
It is considered a slow to medium grower and is fully hardy down to -25 Celsius.
