This cultivar is the best known and most widely grown of the False Acacias.
Raised in the Netherlands in the mid 1930s, this medium tree of rounded habit only rarely flowers, but displays its beautiful golden yellow foliage from spring through to autumn.
It thrives on any soil, and tolerates urban pollution, but is not good in windy, exposed locations due to its rather brittle branches.
A tree which is also fairly drought-resistant.
Widely planted in parks and gardens.
Mature height: 10-15m
