A medium tree with a conical, but semi weeping habit, the bark is white with horizontal lines and large, diamond shaped cracks as the tree matures. Very good for parks and woodland, but not suitable for areas where soil becomes compacted.

It grows well on most soils and can also be supplied as a lovely coppiced multi-stemmed tree for informal settings.
