National Tree Week 2010
The Tree Council is the leading charity in the UK for trees, promoting their importance in a changing environment. The Tree Council was founded following the success of "Plant a Tree in 73" and now runs National Tree Week during November/December each year.
The start of the tree planting season during late autumn/winter heralds the start of National Tree Week during which the Tree Council Wardens, member organisations, communities and supporters organise tree centred events in towns and village throughout the UK.
National Tree Week encourages everyone to take an interest in trees, with wood fairs, walks, talks and wood turning demonstrations to name but a few of the activities that are arranged by The Tree Council. The activities aim to inspire everyone that takes part to think about a "Greener Future" for us all!
The full list of National Tree Week events can be found on The Tree Council website.
